The Cave — Out November 1, 2025
The Cave, set to release on Samhain, is a journey from shadow into light—five songs tracing pain, resilience, and transformation. With raw honesty and genre-bending sound, Mie turns personal struggle into powerful storytelling.
A glossy pop anthem with sharp edges. Beneath the infectious melodies lies the ache of avoidant attachment, the reflex to turn cold and walk away before intimacy cuts too deep.
A waltz laced with nursery rhymes turned sinister. Through poisoned goblets and broken crowns, Mie confronts manipulative religious abuse and the role of scapegoat, singing with both childlike vulnerability and weary defiance.
Electro-punk spectacle. Inspired by the Hanged Man tarot, it’s an anthem of reclamation—“Step right up to the freakshow, baby”—where pain becomes performance and survival becomes power.
An electrofolk turning point. Rolling waves of sound carry the Voice away from familiar suffering, asking hard questions about complicity in pain. It’s the sound of leaving shore for open waters, no longer bound by fear.
Closing the EP in light, this meditative electrofolk piece is born of Mie’s deepest encounter with the Divine Feminine. A luminous presence whispers: “You’re a beauty, as I made you to be.” It is the moment of rebirth—the glimmer at the end of the cave.
